Chile Codelco Copper Mining Company is looking for new candidates

The new Chilean government is looking for new CEO candidates to lead the world’s largest copper producer, the state-owned Codelco Copper Mines.

Chile’s Minister of Mines, Baldo Prokurica, stated that although the new President Sebastian Pinera has appointed one of the new chairmen in May, the current CEO, Nelson Pizarro, is likely to continue his re-election. The Chilean government is currently forming a list of new candidates. Prokurica also stated that this list of candidates does not have limitations, but qualified CEO candidates must be aware of Codelco's mining and operations methods, and must have good communication and negotiation capabilities with the union.
