China's Two Mines Named Global Super Copper Mine List

At present, there are only 26 world-class super copper mines (with copper metal resources and reserves above 20 million tons), accounting for about 1.53% of the world's total projects, but reserves account for 38.35% of the world's total reserves.

Among the 26 super copper mines in the world, Chile has 9 of them. It is the country with the most super copper mines. The world’s largest four copper mines are located in Chile. The world’s largest copper mine is Chile’s Andina Division copper mine, with reserves of 118.9 million tons. Currently belongs to the Chilean National Copper Company.

From the country’s point of view, Australia’s BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and other companies participated in the investment of 8 super copper mines, followed by Chile. Their companies participated in the investment of 7 super copper mines, and China’s close neighbors also directly participated in 6 super coppers. Mine investment.

Two mines in China were shortlisted for the global super copper mines, namely the Kamoa copper mine in Zijin and the Tibet Duolong mine in Chinalco. Although there are still gaps compared with other countries such as Chile, Australia, and Japan, China's two mines have only been acquired in recent years and have great potential.
