EU release of maximum residue limit review of copper compounds
On March 21, 2018, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) issued a review of the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for copper compounds. According to Chapter 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has examined the maximum residual levels (MRLs) of copper compounds currently in Europe. The assessment of residues of copper compounds in plants, processed commodities and crop rotations was assessed. According to the results of the review, the European Food Safety Authority still needs further risk management for the current implementation of the maximum residue limit recommendations.
